How To Gain Muscles Quick

The intention of this article is to show its readers how to gain weight and muscle. My personal story will hopefully give you useful tips, but also warn you of mistakes that I made when trying to gain weight.

Why am I so Skinny?

When I was a sophomore in high school I weighed 70 lbs, with a short height of about 5'3. The reason was not for lack of food, but a fast metabolism. Obese people have a slow metabolism. If you have a fast metabolism then the food you eat is burned quicker, which leaves little left to convert into weight. Some refer to such people as "hard gainers". These are people (like myself) who could eat a horse, and not gain an ounce.

How to start gaining weight: Eat, Eat, Eat

For hard gainers interested in gaining weight, eating must become a second job. Start writing a list, starting with breakfast. Before you ate a bowl of cereal, now you will eat a bowl of cereal, fried potatoes, bacon, eggs, and orange juice. Sounds like a lot of work, but breakfast is probably the only time till dinner that you will have such freedom in your food choices. Once at work, eating will depend on the type of work you do. If your job allows you to eat, then bring along protein bars. Protein bars are vital to muscle building (as we will discuss later).
